Since release of WordPress 2.2 so many popular themes cannot be used due to not compatible with widgets system. If you know a bit of programming - find a theme that is not supported by author, modify it and make compatible with WP2.2 and release on your site. Then simply post in comments of the original theme that you are providing this service. Not only do you help many people, but also get some great backlinks. Here is another good one :)
