1) Update your blog on a regular basis. At least once a day if you don’t have much time and more than once a day if you have some more time to spend on it. In some cases it might be impossible for you to update your blog once a day or even once a week, however if you want to drive a lot of traffic to your blog and also generate some revenue you should make it one of the primary activities of your day. If you a lot of your articles are ready to be published but for some reason you won’t be able to publish them on a daily basis, remember to use the “Wordpress Timestamp feature” (this quick tip is for Wordpress users of course
) so that you can post your articles even if you are not in front of your pc.
2) Choose a search engine friendly and keyword rich titles for your posts. While the first tip is something that most bloggers try to follow, this is one that many of them often forget about. Many of my articles are ranking on the first page of Google’s search results for certain keywords. I always try to repeat the keywords I’m using in the title also inside the content. This makes the title relevant to the content and makes the whole post search engine friendly. I also try to use terms that are not used by all the other bloggers. If you are going to write an article about “Adsense tips”, for example, don’t name it only “Best Adsense Tips” but use a more original title. Try to find some other relevant keywords you can easily insert in the title and repeat those keywords inside the content. By doing so you will maybe never rank first for the words “Best Adsense Tips” but you can get good rankings for other keyword phrases and get even more search engine traffic than you would receive for “best Adsense tips”.
3) Get some deep backlinks. If you write interesting articles, other bloggers will link to your content and you will achieve some backlinks. These backlinks are very useful because they’re “deeplinks” (if another blogger writes about one of your articles, he will probably link to the article URL). To boost your search engine rankings you could also buy some links (with the anchor text you want to rank high) from websites that are content related to yours. Do not attempt to join “link farms” or even participate in reciprocal link exchanges. Many of the link techniques being offered on the web simply do not work anymore with the major search engines. When you are going to buy some links from blogs or other websites related to yours, don’t use always the same acnhor text. Having too many people link to you with exactly the same anchor text could appear to be artificial to the search engines. The search engines (and especially the most important one, Google) are doing everything they can think of to keep people from artificially inflating their links, so if you see a method that tries to trick the system just stay away from it.

Here is another good one
Release a theme for a wordpress with your link in footer credits. Since release of WordPress 2.2 so many popular themes cannot be used due to not compatible with widgets system. If you know a bit of programming - find a theme that is not supported by author, modify it and make compatible with WP2.2 and release on your site. Then simply post in comments of the original theme that you are providing this service. Not only do you help many people, but also get some great backlinks.
That’s a great tip to increase your backlinks but I don’t think it’s a “Vital blogging tip”
