Today I came across a website called “Sitening.com” which is a web design and search marketing company that offers some free SEO tools. To give them a try I had to register and after I recieved the confirmation email I was able to try the free SEO tools. After playing around with them for more than half an hour I was astonished how useful these tools can be. There are 4 different tools:

SEO Analyzer

All you have to do is insert the url of a website and the tool will do the rest. Once you click on “analyze website” you will recieve a report that focuses on:

• the semantic structure
• page content
• obsolete and deprecated HTML
• use of tables
• inline styles
• download size
• outgoing links
• top keywords

Each point of the report is carefully explained and the tool also suggests how you can optimize your website further. Another great thing is that every website you run an analysis for, will recieve a score:

Your web design scored 80 points out of a possible 100. This score is considered satisfactory. Although your web page has some elements that can help give you better search engine results, there are still many changes that can be made to optimize it further.

SERP Tracker

To use this tool you will have to add a website to the list. Once you have added a site, click on the URL to reach the keyword control panel. On the left site you can add keywords and decide how many times the tool should check your ranking for the chosen keywords (frequency: daily, weekly, monthly). This tool will not only display your Google rankings but also your MSN and Yahoo rankings (you will need an MSN API and a Yahoo API key). Thanks to a nice looking graph for each search engine you can see how your position for a certain keyword changes every day.

Backlink Analyzer

The Backlink Analyzer works the same way as the SEO Analyzer but it will give you information about:

• indexed pages in Google
• links to website in Google
• .EDU Backlinks
• .GOV Backlinks
• domain age
• domain expiration
• PageRank
• Alexa traffic rank
• DMOZ listing

Usually you have to use 10 different SEO tools to get all these information but thanks to this great tool you can get it with one simple click. Also in this case the tool will explain every single point and give you suggestions on how to improve your website. The generated  report will be saved in your account and made available for download in PDF format.

PageRank Checker

The last tool is an advanced PageRank Checker that let’s you check PageRank in multiple Datacenters. The cool feature of this tool is that you can monitor the PageRank of a website through RSS and also recieve email alerts when the PageRank changes.

Finally Sitening.com offers a paid SEO Report. I have not tried it yet because once the report for a website has been generated, you will have to pay 9.95$ through Paypal to recieve it.
