What is a blog network?
A blog network is nothing else than lot’s of blogs owned by the same person. Wordpress and Blogspot are actually the most used free blog software and both give you the possibility to create unlimited free blogs.
How can I create my own blog network?
Let’s assume you want to create a blog network composed of 50 blogs. First of all I would suggest to create them all with Blogspot or with Wordpress. By creating 25 of them with Blogspot and 25 with Wordpress you will only make it harder to manage such a big number of blogs.
I suggest to use Wordpress because it’s the best blogging software and you can easily install it on every kind of website. You can create 50 free blogs that will look like this “myblog.wordpress.net” or you can register 50 domains and than install Wordpress on each ( the second option will make the network look more professional).
How can I get a PageRank for each blog?
All you have to do is to choose one blog out of your network and promote it. You can buy some permanent links in Web Directories, buy some blog posts in other blogs or make some free link exchange with other blogs or websites. After you have promoted the chosen blog, just link from it to all the blogs of your network and they will all get a PageRank with the next update (depending on the PageRank that the blog you promoted will get).
What else should I do for my network?
Claim all your blogs in Technorati. This will take you some hours of work but it will make your network much more valuable. Many people are interested in getting a “high Technorati ranking” and if all your blogs are claimed with Technorati they can increase their rank by buying a blog post in your network.
My network is now ready to sell blog posts, what now?
There is one place where you can promote it and where you will sell a lot of posts: Digitalpoint Forums (of course you can promote it on many other forums and websites but Digitalpoint will be your main income resource). You can announce your blog network in the link sale section and start selling blog posts. When you write a new thread, you should offer two different options to your potential buyers:
- the buyer writes the post and the post can contain up to 3 links with anchor text
- you write the post of 100-200 words and the buyer can choose the anchor text for his links (of course the price for the buyer will be higher if you are going to write the post)
Can I really make some serious money with a blog network?
Yes you can. Just keep the price low and you will recieve first orders very soon. Here are some examples of people that have a blog network and that promote it on Digitalpoint:
150 blogs - 9$ , just read the thread to see how many posts he has already sold. By selling to 10 different people a day, he can make 2700$ every month. Even if the price is higher, people will buy blog posts: 110 blogs - 15$.
Another important point you should think about is your niche. If you make an “internet” related network, make sure to accept only internet related posts.
Conclusions
Creating a blog network will take some time, especially if you want your blogs to have a PageRank, but once it is established it’s really easy to maintain and you can make generate a good extra income. 
This is a brilliant way to make some money. Of course I think it would be wise for most people to make sure that they can be profitable with 1 before they create 50!
