Since on week I’m running Kontera advertisements on this blog beacuse I need to know if it works together with Google Adsense. The first time I saw Kontera advertisements I thought that these kind of ads would decrease the click through rate of Google Adsense Ads. The Kontera advertisements look very clean and are marked as “content links”. Finally today I installed them on a website that is already making 4.000$ each month (I own 30% of this website)with Google Adsense and that recieves 5.000-10.000 unique targeted visitors each day.

I’m not getting many clicks on the advertisementes on this blog but actually, after 1 week of trying Kontera, I can say that:

  • The click through rate of the Google Adsense advertisementes did not change because of Kontera. I’m averaging the same number of clicks that I had before installing Kontera ads. I will have much more information about this in a few days when I will recieve my first Kontera report on how the ads are doing on www.glo-con.com.
  • Kontera ads get more clicks than Google Adsense ads! If this happens also on Glo-con, than Kontera will generate me some serious money until the end of the month.
  • The earnings per click are lower than the earnings from an Adsense click. That’s actually the only negative thing of Kontera I’ve discovered yet.

In a few days I will have my first reports on how they are doing on Glo-con. Basically it looks like that it is possible to increase Glo-con’s revenue by 1.000/2.000$ each month with Kontera.

Cool. You should also try setting up PPA ads (from CJ, Azoogle, Amazon, etc.) to maximize your revenue. I think you’ll be able to sell products especially if you write reviews about them in your blog.

    dude plz read this
google and konterra are contextual advertisers

but google adsense terms very explicitely mention that you can not have any other contextual advertiser on the same page as adsense

plz look into this matter otherwise google needs just one reason to block u and they will

Kontera is not a contextual advertiser. They deliver “Inside text advertisements” so they are not against Google’s TOS. I asked the Adsense support before placing Kontera togheter with Adsense :)

I am having a mixed feeling about Kontera as soon as i started running Kontera, Adsense started doing smart pricing but i do not know if it is related.
