There are plenty of PageRank prediction tools, Keyword Ranking tools, Link Popularity tools and so on, and the number of those tools is increasing even if there already hundreds available. Yesterday I came across a SEO tool that can be considered “NEW”, I’m talking about SeoDigger.
Seodigger can be classified as a “Keyword Ranking tool” even if it is much more useful than the traditional ones. The tool is free and anonymous visitors are limited to 5 searches every hour. By registering an account with SeoDigger (registration requires only your email adress and a password will be emailed to you immediately) you can check an unlimited number of links and also 10 different domains every hour.
Why is SeoDigger a “NEW” tool?
Traditional keyword ranking tools work like this: enter the url of a website and a single keyword (or keyword phrase) and the tool will tell you on wich position and on what page you rank in Google’s search engine results.
If I enter the keywords “Seo Friendly Web Directory” and the url www.linkrain.com in a traditional keyword ranking tool, this will tell me that I rank on the first page on position 2 of Google’s results page.
SeoDigger works in a different way: by searching for a website, the tool will tell you a lot of the keywords this websites ranks for, the position that this website ranks for each keyword, how many times that terms were searched on last month (Overture) and also how many times the terms were searched regarding to Wordtracker.
The tool is incredibly fast and the results are amazing. Thanks to this tool you can get a lot of new information about many websites. I discovered to rank on the first page of Google’s search engine results for a lot of keywords that I never thought about. The amazing thing is that you can see for each keyword, how many times it was typed into search engines in the last month.
How can I use this tool to get more visitors?
If you see that you are ranking 10th for a keyword that was searched 10.000 times in a month, you should consider ranking higher for this specific keyword, because by getting on position number one you could get at least 50% of those 10.000 potential visitors. On the other hand you can stop optimizing your website for keywords that recieve 10-20 searches within a month.
The tools is still a Beta version, maybe that’s why it’s not retrieving all the keywords a website is ranked for. Anyway it has an incredible potential and I hope they will improve it and add even some more amazing features soon.
